Valerie Hazan: Profile

 Valerie Hazan

Valerie Hazan is Professor of Speech Sciences in the Department of Speech, Hearing and Phonetic Sciences (SHaPS), which is part of the Division of Psychology and Language Sciences at UCL. She was, until September 2018, Head of the SHaPS Research Department. She is a Fellow of both the Acoustical Society of America (ASA) and the International Speech Communication Association (ISCA).

She primarily works with Dr Outi Tuomainen, who is now Professor of Developmental Disorders at the University of Potsdam, Linda Taschenberger, researcher on our grant, Julie Saigusa, PhD student, and a number of students carrying out research projects linked to our research.  External collaborators include Jeesun Kim and Chris Davis from MARCS Institute in Australia, Mary Rudner from Linkoping University in Sweden and Ann Bradlow from Northwestern University in USA.
